ranjb
Hi I am seem to be having major issues trying to get my wife's Mac to remotely connect to my windows machine using remote desktop. The Windows machine has Windows 7 installed with Kaspersky Anti-Security 9 and the Mac has OSX Snow leopard. I know the issue is with kaspersky firewall because if I turn off the protection it works fine and I can use either RDP for mac or CoRD to remotely connect in. I tried to open the Kaspersky firewall up as much as possible but still cant get it to connect when the firewall is turned back on. Can anyone help? I have tried the Kaspersky forums but doesnt seem like there is a thread related to this. Thanks

John.D
Or use teamviewer. Since it looks like it supports Mac OSX and Windows. At least the other person will see what youre doing
n_K
Failing that, Start > Run > Conf And setup netmeeting remote desktop.
John.D
Just install teamviewer, run it. Then get the other person to give you the ID and password, then put them in at your end. Login. Thats it. No ports to add. It's free. And the other person will see everything you do. I used it 3-4 times over the weekend to fix probs. Great little program
