Parasite
You can also tell that there was a different director. This is a good thing IMO. The T-850 was less human as in T2 and more like a "robot" in T3. Just fantastic... that is all I can say now. Mark not relly a spoiler but i want to know, Does john change the Chips settings in this movie, as he does in T-2 where he takes out the terminator brain cpu and sets it so he can make desisions on his own.? If this in anyway spoils the story dont tell me ;)
Steven
For those of you hoping to see a T4, there is not going to be a T4. This is it. The last of the Terminator films. No more. There wasn't supposed to be a Terminator 3 Either, and look what happend. Have a bit more faith than that dude. T4 has to happen, we need to have the war now! :D Official T4 Forum on Terminator3.com : http://www.terminator3.com/forum/display_f....asp?ForumID=18 Edited July 4, 2003 by xStainDx

CatnipOligarchy
yeah hopefully there wont be another 12 year wait for the next terminator movie. the series could potentially go on past t4 though.. i mean somewhere along the line, arnold gets sent back in time 3 times, i think it would be pretty cool to see how that happened. **************T3 SPOILER - DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIE********** i think the saga ends in 2032, when Arnold is supposed to kill John Conner. The entire series has been based around him, so when he is killed, the story should be complete **************END SPOILER - GO ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS**********
deimos
you know what would be interesting....if in T4, they sent another arnold back in time, at the same time that he was sent in one of the previous movies, like in back to the future. and if one of the arnolds were bad, then arnold could fight himself. that would make for an interesting fight scene. that probably wouldnt happen though, cause it wouldnt make much sense, but it was just somethin i thought of. Scorbing
I think they should leave this films alone. T4 would be ridiculous. They have managed to repeat the same formula 3 times with success yes, but another Terminator movie would be a disaster. I don't think people would want to go see Arnold come back in time again to do the same thing he's been doing for the past 3 films...again. Too much of a good thing can be a pain. We all know that the war went on T3 shows very clearly that no matter how many Arnolds go back in time, the war is still going to happen so why keep repeating the same thing over and over again? I think this is a good end for the series.

I thik that will be VERY interesting, in fact, the new Terminator sent back (in 1991) to also protect young John against the liquid metal guy and in a fight, could have been damaged and left behind and as such skynet is still able to continue it's research. TheDeputy
Arnold was quoted this week saying if the people want a T4 and there is a good story for it he will do one. So there is your answer on if he may or may not do one. I say there will be a 4th one. I also bet if they do make a 4th one it will happen within the next 3-4 years. Arnold is getting old and if they want to use him, they will have to do so soon so that he is still "young" enough and still in good shape. (He will be for some time, but will he continue to make these type of movies) If there is another, it won't be set in the past, they would continue the story on and show the resistance and how they defeat the army and then how John dies. That's my guess. If you want a good movie discussion page, I would suggest visiting http://www.joblo.com/forums Here is the T4 Thread http://www.joblo.com/forums/showthread.php...?threadid=56901
Kasper
as for the movie, i thought it was great... as a prue action movie it is probably the best i have seen, as for a T4, T3 left it VERY open for another one, i also heard Arnold is already signed on for the next one. but i think the bottom line is if this one does well they will have to make another if they can get a script together. remember its always about money. eth3l
Great flick. I missed the Cameron touch. The first T's were very plausible. There were some faults in this one that were just too coincidental. The T-X was baddd asss! Arnold rocked, much more like the first terminator, but he talked in this one. My wife and I watched T1 & T2 last night in preparation. Claire Danes (hot) did a great job. The action sequence, the original chase scene was unbelievable. Will win an MTV movie award, no doubt. Agree with Kasper, T4 is wide open. Even my wife, when we got out of the theatre asked when T4 was supposed to come out. Although I dont think Arnold will be in the next one, unless it closes out the Franchise. If they do T4 I think it will be more of a spin-off where we follow John Connor and the war. I could see at least maybe 2 more. The best way to end it would be with a scene of T101 rolling off the assembly line and being sent back to 1984. JPKahn . . . I cannot believe the positive feedback. The movie was almost a carbon copy of Terminator II. I would have hoped that in 12 years there would be more progress then that. I won't spoil it by going over the numerous scenes that I saw before already in T II but there are several. It seems to me they only made this as a prequel to making T 4 possibl;y minus Arnold. Are you serious? watch T1 & T2 back to back. Cameron followed the *exact* structure of T1 in T2: Terminator arrives Terminator hunts Savior Arrives Termintor finds Terminator almost kills Savior saves depressing dream sequence (in T1 Reese's dream in the construction yard, in T2 Sarah's dream in the mental ward) epiphany: savior needs to act now big chase scene with big rig (in T1 & T2) Terminator almost wins Terminator dies T3 - although kept some similarities for continuity purposes was different, and not to its detriment. It was nowhere near the same, and there were some funny scenes, definitely missing in JC's version. Also, there the movie takes place in the day, soemthing new for the franchise. There is no doubt in my mind what so ever. I have to agree, there will be a T4 and possibly a T5. the only thing I am not sure of is when will Skynet realize that the T-800 is the best model?? That is an awsome movie. Well worth seeing. I recommend it highly. It in someways is disappointing but overall is great. The story line hold plausible... Can I ask you in what way you found it disappointing? I guess for me it will have to be the fact that Linda Hamilton & Edward Furlong did not reprise their rolls and many of the elements from T2 3-D: Battle Across Time were not included.
