Question

Does anyone use a Personal Browser Start page that you have created and either host on a Server that you can access from anywhere, or simply as a file on your computer?

I am trying to get a feel for other start pages, and to see how many people actually do this.

I use Netvibes for my start page. Lets me view all my news feeds, developer blogs, etcetera in one place. I can leave it open too in a tab and it tells me at any time how many unread news/articles I have. You can also add your Facebook and Twitter accounts to it so you can do basic social networking too. The only let down for it is that it doesn't support mobiles like iGoogle does.

I just tried Netvibes, its quite cool but lacks the features i was looking for.

Tabbed or grouped Rss and the google search that looks pretty lame which once you search it makes a tab of itself

And few more minor things. If they fix these 2 at least, i would just go to tools-->set netvibes as my start page >.<

Used FastDial for Firefox for a while. Now it just opens to gmail.

My default (firefox) browser opens the 4 pages I need at startup, 2 webmail pages, 1 neowin page and a blank page. Opera I'm still customizing.

New Tab page in Chrome, about:blank elsewhere.

I have bookmarks for me to choose where I want to go.

My startpage is Google.com. It used to be iGoogle, but then I realised it was too crowded for my taste. I have 2 icons on my desktop (sometimes just 1, which is the Recycle Bin), so anything other than the simple Google.com page is way too much.

Not technically a start page, but Speed Dial extension for Chrome. All I need :)
