Sethos
But films like Black Hawk Down and The Hurt Locker are just fine? Gtfo BHD had Taliban fighters and was set in a current conflict?
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted August 23, 2010 Veteran Share Posted August 23, 2010 No the novel was only set 4 years after the battle that is centre of the plot. The Iraq war is still ongoing and they released The Hurt Lock and gave it best film of the year award. Same goes for other games like Full Spectrum Warrior etc. Not a bat of an eyelid, which is even more hypocritical when that came out in 2004. Sounds like Mr Fox likes to pick & choose his nitpicks with a fine comb when it suits him. So again, gtfo Mr Fox.
Richard Hammond
The guy is an opportunistic asshat, his main issue is that he wants the game banned because he thinks you can play as Taliban and kill British troops, there are no British troops in multiplayer, i guess its ok that you can shoot as US troops just as long as they arent British troops, what a goon. Lamp0
or some people will suck up every game like a fresh sponge, instead of sticking to some standards. Well that's not me.
trag3dy
Beta is crap "Hey guys, look! We fixed all the problems - It is now official an awesome game" *Buys retail* It's still crap "There's still a few fixes that need implementation, bear with us and we'll have a patch out VERY soon!" *2 months passes by, patch is released* Gameplay is messed up, one weapon is severely imbalanced and the game is still crap "Buy our latest product, Battlefield: Good Company, it's going to be DA SHIZZLE - Oh and no more support for MoH, k." ... I called it. You forgot the announcement to the beta for their next game Modern Battlefield of Duty: Call of Honor for pre ordering. Also exclusive access to the tactical nuke. DirtyLarry Veteran Posted September 2, 2010 Veteran Share Posted September 2, 2010 I already have the limited edition preordered through steam. I'm one of those obviously rare gamers who still way prefers SP over MP. To me MP is the added bonus, not the other way around, but obviously this line of thinking is a thing of days past. I'm also perhaps the only person who didn't think the MP beta was as bad as everyone is making it out to be. It has it's flaws and is completely uninspired but long gone are the days I care about my level/rank or playing MP for anything more than a few rounds of fun here and there and could care less about any competititive aspect so as an added bonus it's fine by me. To each their own I suppose.

trag3dy
I don't know if this was posted yet, but this looks seriously impressive That looks ****ing amazing! One thing is for sure is that the single player part of this game has always looked awesome. They should have used the same engine for both single and multi player. Destructible environment is such a huge part of the fun in bc2. That footage looked great but it's on rails. So that's a huge take away for me. I enjoyed the chatter. WastedJoker
I mostly buy games for SP campaigns so I'm going to wait to see how well done this one is before buying - the MP doesn't look like it offers anywhere near enough variation from other games. Massiveterra
Why would DICE want to make a better multiplayer for a game that isn't theirs? Anyway, weren't they asked later in the project's timeline to be involved with this game because Danger Close didn't have enough budget and resources to develop the multiplayer mode? NoLiMiT06
I don't know but I am not all that interested in the multiplayer based on the beta experience. Needs more variation and a TON of work on the hit boxes and the splash damage on explosives.... The single player how ever looks spectacular :)
Massiveterra
TBH, wasn't Medal of Honor more known for the single player experience anyway? Like Omaha Beach?
trag3dy
It'll be good as long as it's not 4 hours long. I'm holding off on buy this game until I read some reviews. My biggest concern is game length.

LingeringSoul
TBH, wasn't Medal of Honor more known for the single player experience anyway? Like Omaha Beach? I think Allied Assault had a pretty established multiplayer community back in the day. Apart from that though, you're right. Frontline was the other big game in the Medal of Honour franchise, and that was definitely recognized for its single-player, being on the PS2 and all (did that game even have split-screen? I can't remember...). It'll be good as long as it's not 4 hours long. I'm holding off on buy this game until I read some reviews. My biggest concern is game length. Yeah, I feel the same way. I'm already thinking of this one as a single-player game first and foremost, so unless it has some decent longevity to it, I'll either rent it or just wait for it to hit the bargain bin. Massiveterra
New clip of the game's Rush Mode Combat Mission. Looks like they added their own Predator Missile. It actually seems more like the binoculars used in the first Bad Company. In the mode Coalition forces have to take out five consecutive objectives to win. As your clear an objective the map expands. The mode also has limited respawns, which the game calls reinforcements.
