markus
I have an Alcatel Speedtouch 530 modem which is connected to a D-Link 614+ wireless router. The modem has DHCP enabled and is on ip 10.0.0.138. The router is on ip 192.168.0.1 and the modem is connected to the router via the WAN port. I would like that any requests coming to the modem are transfered to the router and not handled by the modem. Basically the problem is that if i enter the outside ip (ISP IP) of the connection i get the modem's configruation page since its handling the request. Any idea how i can route all requests to the router? Cheers
etron
do you get the modem's configuration page when you access the the ip from the internet? I seriously hope it doesn't since that would be a security issue, but I have seen it before where modems intercept the requests to it's own ip when it comes from an internal address, and redirects you to the modem config. Try accessing that ip address through a proxy (even a translation service would work) and see if you get the same thing.
