Call of Duty: Black Ops To Retail At

Recommended Posts

I don't see why any of you would want to buy the game, even if you can get it cheap in a supermarket. It's the principle of the thing. Don't buy the game at all, it's only going to be the same as the last few CoDs, just with a couple of new game mechanics which might last about 10 minutes. There are much more interesting games coming out this year. Go for them instead.

Wonders how many people complaining will end up getting the game anyway :p

Either way Activision can GTFO. There was a time where i was actually considering getting COD4, glad i haven't bought any of them.

Yeah but i was never a fan in the first place and the price never went down enough for me to get it in the end.

You could say the same about any sequel. And I expect any else from a sequel in the same gen.

In fact I think COD changes things up quite a bit considering there is a new one each year.

I'll be buying it(supermarkets), then sell it to cex once I get bored.

Might even rent it, considering MOH is going to be released in Oct.

Let them charge it. People will pay that price. And while I definitely will not be one of them, if people continue to pay, why should they lower it?

I stopped buying new games when they went over ?30 (or was it ?35, I can't remember. Back in the Playstation 1 days, I think). I'd love for them to go back to that price - or even less - but that's not going to happen until people realise that they don't need the latest games and start coming to the conclusion that they are certainly not worth paying over ?50 for.

And they wonder why people pirate games.

Seriously, sure the developers and all that need to get paid but slappin' $100 for a game and then charging additional for "DLC" (which is usually uncompleted stuff or levels/maps etc that don't fit into the game), it is no wonder why people will pirate a game. Heck, it is much easier to pirate a game then to go to the shops and buy it.

It would be nice if they lowered the pricing to a more reasonable AU$50-60. Some games cost around $110-120 and that's the standard version, "special editions" can cost close to $150. Quite a fair amount of cash for a game. I'm a PC gamer so I usually pay $89-99 or $69-79 if I buy it from my ISP download service.

At any rate, before I get accused of being a pirater, I download my games through my ISP which offers competitive pricing (most of the time, especially on newer titles), maximum download speed and is unmetered.

Any I agree that Modern Warfare was worth the money. Modern Warfare 2 had a good storyline and all but the online sucked bad.

im not paying that much...

these prices encourage piracy...

you're talking smack about someone paying for call of duty but you'll throw down a bill (in pounds, which is more then 200 canadian) for halo?

(and if that guy did actually buy ten, i would die of laughter...)

Such a flawed argument, not only because of the quality of studios & games, but the price I am paying if for a Legendary edition.

But yes, Reach > Black Ops.

Also, finally someone with sense (Y)

Pretty much every new game's rrp is ?50 - ?55

If you have been paying that much for new games, you have been ripped off.

Medal of Honor ftw :)

most places don't sell at the RRP. Amazon usually sell for at least ?10 less.

and yes I am looking forward to the new Medal Of Honor too!

which, by the way, has an RRP of ?49.99, but amazon set the price at ?39.99, compared to Black Ops at ?44.91, not that big of a difference as alot of people seem to make out.
