To me the most enjoyable thing about the first game was the coop aspect. The game still is one of the standard couch coop game I throw in when I have people over.

The level creator is way too time consuming for me and searching for good user created levels can be a burden. But since there still are hundreds or thousands of levels I have yet to play on the current one, and I only use this game as a casual couch coop game, it's going to be difficult for me to buy into the new one.

Looks like 3D support, but that's probably a given for most new PS3 titles

Remake micro-machines :D

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about the 'platform for games' phrase they used and how it would work. The trailer changed my opinion :)

WOW now I'm really excited about this game. We are going to see a lot of awesome levels with LBP2.

LBP is like, the only game I really play on my PS3.

While I'm upset they're doing a sequel (because they said they wouldn't do a sequel) I'm excited to see what they're doing.

This'll be a day one pick up.

I have two games to buy in the next coming months / year -- Cataclysm, and this.

I am not at all upset, it was a given that eventually they would produce a sequel regardless of what they said. They never should have said they would 'never' make a sequel and simply just stated they would support the original for as long as they could. Things evolve and move on and there is only so much support you can afford to give since there isn't a subscription base (except for level packs etc), and so much you can do with the tools before you have to create or modify existing design.

The micromachines clip is awesome, given what some people were able to create with the LBP1 tools I can't wait to see what people create with LBP2 tools.

Just finally watched the new trailer, and holy **** is all I can say. Truly was just blown away by what I just watched.

The whole puppetry thing just looks phenomenal. Wow. All of the different type of gameplay they show in the trailer is just amazing. The user created levels, and also full games just as the trailer indicated, are truly going to be mind blowing. This just went so incredibly high up on my radar now.

It would be totally awesome if all user created content from the original LBP was playable on LBP2.

This is actually the case. Check out the teaser trailer.

Regardz :)

We may not get 100% backwards compatibility, but I hope we do. It?s a really hard job to QA it, with millions of levels to get through. So we might not succeed in all the exploits people have used.
