Convert AVI to DVD w/GPU CUDA

Question

I'm looking for a program that will convert "file types" to DVD with GPU acceleration. I'm not even sure such a program exists. I already have programs that do the reverse, in other words DVD to whatever file type. Let me know your thoughts, ty!

Well, in the past I've used ConvertXtoDVD which worked really well for me. But it is pay-for. This was a few years ago and they didn't support GPU acceleration back then. It still worked very well though. I really liked how easy it was to make simple and nice looking menus for the DVDs (although not very customizable).

Badaboom converts to other devices using CUDA but unfortunately it doesn't do DVDs. I think this is the ONLY program to fully utilize CUDA. CUDA programs are nonexistent pretty much.

Thanks! I already use convertxtodvd. I know of badaboom and have used it. I'm just interested in making sure I'm converting things as quickly as possible and obviously not all programs take advantage of all hardware features. Its not like its slow as it is, just always looking for more zoom zoom :)

TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress, the CUDA support is nice but only helps slightly with encoding and more with processing video with the in-built filters (which I do on occasion).

DVDFab supports both CUDA and ATI Stream.

Edit: I use ConverXtoDVD if I need to. Does the job so damn quickly it's not funny and the end results are really good. Usually downsize HD to DVD for my folks.

There are no CUDA MPEG2 encoders. The closest you'll get are applications that may use it for decoding your source video and help with filters you use.

No, Badaboom is not the only CUDA encoder. TMPG Video Mastering Works 5 and some Cyberlink products include a CUDA and an Intel Quick Sync h264 encoder. On the free side MediaCoder has a h264CUDA encoder. I'm sure some of the other big players in the video related applications space also have a CUDA encoder in some of their products.

Then there are a lot of applications which doesn't include a CUDA encoder but use it to decode your source video and for filtering. All CUDA video encoders available are h264 encoders. There is also an opensource flac encoder and a mp3 encoder powered by CUDA.

mediacoder uses CUDA but another good encoder is Handbrake. nothing else is good enough.
