network files

i have set up a small office network using my 56k modem to connect two pcs , i have used the following : cat 5 crossover to connect the two pcs and used windows xp which is on both machines to connect to the net , this i can do , but when it comes to see my emails using the second pc ,i cannot see them . just what do i have to do to see the email folders inbox . the first pc must be connected to the net this i know , i can see all them on this one , but cannot see them on the second one

any help would be greatly appreciated

prolly becuase your email client is configured once you download your emails on 1st computer they are removed from the server, hense 2nd puter doesn't see them.

yes but i should see the other pcs files and the emails without using webmail ,

have disabled the xp firewall but still cannot see the files ,

i mean once the emails are on the master pc ,i should see them using the slave pc

the 1st pc has to be on the net so i should be able to see them using the 2nd pc

once you download those emails they are stored in database file for your email client.

if you use exactly same client on both computers you can just share that database file between them.
