Hedon
That exploit was fixed a long time ago (as in years ago), so unless they have really old consoles, they are probably lying to you :p Unfortunately, they are not lying. They can do any of them, new or old. You know what else I learned? They can play Xbox 360 games on their PC's too. One of them has been playing Alan Wake on his PC. Not sure if it's emulation software or what have you, but they do it. They are a couple of college kids that the UW here.

Just so you know "Playing 360 games on your pc" by hooking the xbox 360 up to the computer monitor does not count!

So how are people able to still do it? And how can I trust you when they are doing it (along with others)? I don't think they should be doing it, but who am I to say anyway. But then again I've read that jtagged consoles won't last 5 mins connected to XBL without being banned, so what's the point. Either way, to "unban" a 360 you need to rip the CPU key from another unbanned 360. It's a huge waste of money imo. You're probably cheaper buying a new 360 every year & modding it until its banned lol.

When they mentioned the emulating on the PC, I crapped my pants. They had all their burned discs in here and were playing all these games in one of our conference rooms over the projector on the big screen using one of the guys laptops. Then again, I didn't grow up with any PC knowledge, electrical knowledge or the like. Just a CPA who plays video games on the side.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted May 11, 2010 Author Veteran Share Posted May 11, 2010 I'm all but certain they are yanking your chain with the emulator stuff. I read quite a lot of topics on 360 modding from various scene sites / visit the IRC channels and I haven't heard anything about one being available. Anyway all that is very off topic. Sorry mods

I just did a google on it, and it appears more popular than I even knew. Edit: If you want, I can ask one of our restaurant servers who also emulates them. They know all that crap, not me. The only way is taking the cpu key from another console that's not banned, and it's really not worth it cause you'll just get banned (as well as the other xbox) pretty quick. rajputwarrior
Nope. i just google xbox 360 emulators and apparently no real xbox360 emulators exist. your "friends" are bsing you. are you sure it wasn't an HD youtube video you were watching or there was an 360 hidden behind the monitor? That could be the way they do it, I have no clue. But my guess is that you or I don't know everything there is to the hacker world. unless they found some magic way that no one else in the world knows, there is no other real way. google various xbox forums (pm me if you want to know some) and you'll see there is no other real way. Hedon
I really can't believe a laptop is emulating the 360, especially not at a decent frame rate I thought it was hard to believe too. But they had that stuff hooked up to a projector and were playing it. Not sure why they would even bother doing the emulation. I find it very tough to swallow the idea of ripping off developers and publishers by stealing games. Oh well, I feel better about myself every time I plop down my $60. PixilEyes
I'm sure if there was a XBOX 360 emulator we would of known about it. Heck they have a hard enough time trying to hack PSP 3000's.
