PSP2 To Be Announced At E3, According To Publishers

They are not using Cell. Battery life would suffer and they want it to be BC with PSP. Instead they will use a combo ARM/MIPS CPU that allows BC with PSP.

Yeah I hope not, I would rather see PS2 level graphics with the ability to play PS2 games from PSN, would be even more awesome if there was a way to install your old PS2 games to the PSP2 using the PS3 but that probably won't happen.

the PSP has PS2 level of graphics in in some cases did better such as the wipeout Pure game witch used lighting and stuff not seen on the PS2 before so it was a mini PS2 as it ran the same hardware with some slight differences

Same clock speed != same hardware

The PSP is most definitely not as strong as the PS2, but some of the games can definitely reach some of the older PS2 game graphics (i.e. MGS PO looking as good as MGS2).

Anyway, yeah, I'd be very surprised if it didn't have a touchscreen. 3G I wouldn't see coming but it would make perfect sense. 4 SPU Cell seems like it would drain the battery incredibly harsh, I don't see it happening. However, if they can get 4-SPU Cell with a battery life of about 5-6 hours gaming time then I'd definitely love to see that happen.
