PixelJunk Shooter 2 to be revealed in July Playstation Mag?

Recommended Posts

While Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood may hold the cover spot of the next issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine, the July 2010 issue will also feature a "lovefest feature" on PixelJunk Shooter 2, Q-Games' not-yet-announced-but-very-real PSN sequel, according to a Tweet from EIC Gary Steinman.

Considering the numerous hints of a sequel, we're unsurprised that the game's existence is confirmed by an uneventful preview of a preview. (It seems Sony is intent on making this a trend.) If Sony shows this off at its E3 press conference, just try to act shocked, okay?

While I never got round to finishing the first, I would be quite happy with a sequel, but all future PixelJunk games need online co-op.

Surprised that this isn't just an expansion though, that's how they have done things thus far with their games.

Yeah I was expecting an expansion like Monster and Eden but I'll take PixelJunk Shooter 2. :D

:woot: Awesome news. Loved the first one. Very fun co-op. Can't wait to see what they come up with.

Loved and finished the game, never got around to getting all the secrets though, may well go back and do so.

I never really got into Monsters, I have it but never put the time into it, just didn't seem as instantly gratifying.

PixelJunk Shooter 2 is a ?proper sequel,? says Q Games

None of this expansion malarkey: Q Games? Dylan Cuthbert has said PixelJunk Shooter 2 will be a ?proper sequel?.

Speaking to TSA, the dev boss also said that it will feature some ?pretty cool stuff,? with more suits and new ideas for fluid mechanics.

The game will get its formal reveal in the next issue of OPM, with Cuthbert saying earlier this year Q was working on a PJS sequel.

The original PixelJunk Shooter released on the PlayStation Store last December.

According to the PS.Blog

I?m pretty sure we won?t make a Shooter 3 because everything and the kitchen sink (probably quite literally)

That better include online co-op and a level editor, those were the only things missing from the first.
