beanboy89
I recently got a used PlayStation 2 (model SCPH 30001 R) for $5 at a garage sale. It looked like it was dropped as there is some physical damage to the console. It wasn't reading disks when I got it, but after cleaning it thoroughly and adjusting some small plastic pieces that control the movement of the laser, it works pretty good now. I then got a used copy of Gran Turismo 4 for $10 (ironic that I payed more for the game itself than the console). From what I can tell, GT4 is one of the few PS2 games that support 1080i output, so if I pickup a set of PS3 component cables (which seem to be backwards compatible with the PS2), I should be able to play GT4 in HD, right? Thanks.
sn00pie
Yep. Although it doesn't exactly look like its HD, it looks OK to be honest.
causa45
I didn't know that the PS2 console supports 1080i over component for GT4, very interesting! @sn00pie: Probably, just look at the power of the system, it's just a aging console ;) ironic that I payed more for the game itself than the console INDEED!
