Workaround for a wifi service

Question

Hypothetically, if there was a wifi service in say... a marina, and you have to pay in order to get a login and password, which allowed only one computer per login at a time on the service, how would you get around that. The problem would be, two laptops in the same boat. But only one can go on the wifi at a time (per login). I'm assuming this has to do with assigning an IP address to each computer logging in per login. Now, if two computers try it, the wifi says, whoa not two IP addresses are going out. I'm assuming based on MAC addresses they would be able to tell.

No, if i had a router, which is one IP address, and thus assigned ips to individual computers, would that be a workaround?
