sask Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 If you are just looking at photos, 1080p really isn't that high of a resolution. Any digital camera on the market today can greatly exceed the resolution of 1080p (1920x1080). So if you're just using the tv to display your photos, you should be fine no matter what camera you choose. And since you mentioned you would use usb to connect the camera to the tv, the camera probably isn't outputting any video, the tv is just reading files from the camera. Some digital cameras actually output a video signal using HDMI as well. If you are shopping for a digital still camera and it's advertised as 1080p or 720p it is probably referring to the video resolution.(or so one should hope) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
