AndyD Posted July 14, 2003 Share Posted July 14, 2003 Try turning off/on the modem. For whatever reason, my speed will drop to less than 1mb down at times. I called RCN several times to ask why I was being capped and they couldn't find anything that would lead them to believe that this was the case. Month later I decided to call RCN again and I finally got a guy that knew what he was talking about. Talked for a bit and the last thing that we tried was power cycling the modem. After 5 mins, I was back to 3mb down :) Every once and awhile I still have to reset the modem. Not sure why it happens but doesn't bother me much since I know how to fix it now.
