Argote
Just got a Canon T2i. Just taking my first few photos. What lens did you end up getting? You used the built-in flash for those photos, right?
+Warwagon MVC Posted July 1, 2010 MVC Share Posted July 1, 2010 What lens did you end up getting? You used the build in flash for those photos, right? Ya, built in flash. The lens is a EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-6.5 lS Got it at walmart for $700 for the body and the lens.

Argote
Ya, built in flash. The lens is a EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-6.5 lS Got it at walmart for $700 for the body and the lens. Nice, good price, the T2i is a formidable camera. BTW, for that kind of "Semi-Macro" work, I'd recommend you use the longest focal length you can (55mm in your case) at the largest aperture (f/5.6 in your case @ 55mm) and try to avoid using the built in flash. To make the photo come out sharp (a.k.a. not-blurry) place your camera on top of something (do not hold it as at 55mm and f/5.6 in that light you'll need an exposure time a bit too long ot hand-hold) and you can use the timer if pressing the shutter is moving the camera. Also, the T2i has good high-ISO performance so you can try messing with that.
TAZMINATOR
Here are some photos. I know these are boring but I am not feeling good to go outside to take pictures. Without Flash: With Flash: I will post some good ones as soon as I can.
