nekrosoft13
i have original windows xp that i bought online from www.journeyed.com. and i have a problem with the activation. it is a pro version, that i bought at a special academic price for only $99.97. and the problem is that occours about once a month or twice a month. when windows tell me that there was a problem with checing the sytems activation and i have to activate again. the first time i activated was the same day i installed it the first time. and why does it asks me all the time to reactivate the windows. it really gets on my nerves. is there any way to turn off or disable this activation check, because all the time i change some hardware part, i get that message and i have to call microsoft again, and wait about half a hour on the phone.:disappoin

nekrosoft13
i moved some hardware. but still this activation is getting on my nerves. you should only activate once, not every time you put a new hardware part.

nekrosoft13
but do i have to reainstall the windows xp, or just apply it to the windows i have oready intalled?
nomis_nehc
unfortunately, you will need to reinstall... but tell you what, what you can do is install the corp ver "over" your current system. that's one way to do it if you wish to preserve all your registry settings, program associations, and whatnots. seriously, it should be fine, no biggie problem should come out of that.
