What is Mortal Kombat: Rebirth?

After a bit of digging, I found him : Ron Yuan . IMHO, he should do the trick and already played with M.J. White.

Sub-Zero is a ninja, not Mr. Freeze.

You know, I was right in my first hunch.

He looks more like a Quake Strogg..

Sub-Zero is a ninja, not Mr. Freeze.

Actually technically the Lin Kuei Clan were robotizing their ninjas (Cyrax, Sektor, Cyber Smoke in MK3). It it could be since they seem to be changing lore and such, that Sub-Zero was some cybernization, in order to give him freezing abilities.

Shang Tsung looked like Steven Segal in that picture they showed for a fraction of a second (especially if you see the HD version and freeze frame it). :p

Well, based on the above image, Arnold Schwarzenegger

LOL. Sadly, I was thinking the same thing... Mr. Freeze from Batman -.- It's just an animation and hopefully there will be some ninja aspects added to this 3D model. Still very excited though! I really hope movie gets picked up!

ALSO, I found this on collider:

# Confirms ?fatalities? are definitely in his movie. He wants to put them in the tournament in an ?organic way?

# Definitely would use ?get over here? (the classic line from the game)

# Says Scorpion is the bad guy and will stay a bad guy

:woot:

I dunno how they would handle some of the more "mystical" aspects like Rayden,...

I spotted a movie poster for Ironman 2 and thought hey, a renegade Tony Stark-esque scientist a la Ivan Vanko. Of course they would have to work out the copyright issues first.

Hopefully we get some news if they will go forward with his vision of Mortal Kombat. He's said in interviews he will maintain the mystical aspect of Mortal Kombat, but only at the tournament, similar to the original film. However his "real world" is significantly better and brings some strange character a more human feel to it. I really hope they green light it. And he said Raiden wouldn't be grounded in the real world, so no psychotic electrician ;)

Btw, one terrible thing with the original, how would Scorpion miss! and just stand there and get attacked at the end. And where did that photo come from and why do they suck at fighting, ok, maybe there's more than one :D

I'm all for this. But Jeri Ryan is too old, not sexy enough & doesn't know martial art (course she can train for the part). Baraka doesn't look right. Cornrolls? Isn't he also the actor in the Tekken movie?
