The New Mortal Kombat Trailer Is Pure Brutality

Recommended Posts

The trailer for the new Mortal Kombat game shows a true return to form, with 2D battles, tag-team fighting, gory inside-look combos, and fatalities so cruel you'll be crossing your legs with sympathy pains.

This is the Mortal Kombat fans have been craving. No complicated 3D camera. No toned-down violence to cater to the teen crowd. Just 1-on-1 fighting with the sort of brutal violence that drew fans to the series in the first place.

Deep in a thread about a movie trailer. Has a better place in it's own thread.

You could have at least have copypastaed the PR blurb, art work and links from my post.

edit: I'll do it.

Either way, I'm overly excited that it's back to the 2D gameplay, which I expected. Kung Lao's fatality near the end made me cringe. Hasn't done that since MK2!

Who plays beat em ups on the PC? Bigger market on the consoles I imagine.

No one plays them on the pc because they are never released on the PC. In this day and age where you can hook up an xbox 360 controller to your pc and have it act exactly like it would on an xbox 360 I don't see why they wouldn't want to release a pc version. I think it would sell well.

This looks proper! I love the idea!!!

I hope they dont mess it up.

Looking at this like.. 4 times, I'm starting to wonder if that's a fatality..

Notice how the screen goes dark?

yes it must be.
