Beyond HTML

Question

Okay, I believe I really have HTML down right. Now I want to go into things like Perl/CGI/PHP/ASP/JSP. What is the best thing to go into and can any of you point out websites with good tutorials on these things. Thanks.

Well learn some javascript next, its the easiest. Also try to get a web server running on your computer. Try to get it running CGI, PHP, and some flavor of SQL. If you can do that, then you can test scripts and things on your computer and it is just alot of fun trying to get those to work.

well,.. i suggest you to learn php lang and mysql databases. if you have win xp pro, just go to add/rem prog, ms software and select IIS... install it, download php install for win from php.net, install it, and you have your personal server where you can simple try your scripts. you have also asp support overthere and everyfin you need.

don't ask why is php better then perl etc etc.. we programmers just know it is the best programing internet language.

good luck :D
