GT5 E3 Trailer

Looks tight. I just wish it was game play instead of replays. I don't know about the rest of you, but I love the addition of NASCAR.

All replay footage, Forza 3 looks about the same in replay footage as well. The biggest difference between gameplay and replay in forza is the AA and the framerates. Gameplay is at 60fps with 2x AA I believe and 30 fps with 4x AA in replay. I could be wrong on the exact numbers but I think that's right. I do plan on picking this up though if/when this comes out...

Forza looks good, but not THAT good in replays. PD have the lighting down to pretty much perfection and some of the shots look amazing. Also, unless things have changed I believe they are still aiming at 1080 vertical resolution.

I don't think Turn 10 will ever match the graphical detail in the cars that Polyphony Digital has mastered. PD has pretty much made that an art form, and probably won't be touched by any others....console or PC. Turn 10 has a huge edge in the physics though, which is their pride and joy. I am glad we are getting some great racers from them both.

Looks awesome, and might finally convince me to finally get a PS3...Assuming it ever launches. Damage looks good, which was the only thing GT4 was missing.

But they are teasing us too much...Release it already before everyone simply gives up!

Damn. If that is indeed the actual in-game replay itself than damn.

I agree, it will certainly be interesting to see how far along the physics have come in GT5 from GT5:P I have to admit that I actually liked the handling in the Academy time trial and made a change for a game to punish you for overcooking things.

Good things come to those that wait :p (but you're right, release it already!!)

Knowing PD I very much doubt those are bullshots, the reply always has extra effects from the race, but I pretty much believe that what you are seeing is 100% in game engine running those replays.

Than as I said, DAMN.

And the truth is, if you are really looking for some flaws, I did see a few aliasing issues here and there without even trying to find any flaws, but with that said this is honestly the best looking replay I have ever seen. And I actually think Forza's replays are amazing, but this replay that GT5 has truly is remarkable visually. It just has an overall stylistic approach that really appeals to me. It is damn pretty.

Academy still has too much wall riding though. It is an improvement over GT5p though, no question. I am hoping that we also get extensive damage as shown on the rally cars for all the cars though, not just select premium models as rumored.

PD uses bullshots just like the rest of them. However, the video shown in this thread is comparable to the replays seen in GT5p, so most likely, that is entirely in game. The replays in GT5p are second to none.
