PS3: Can't add online friends + NAT3

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a PS3 running the latest - I think - firmware. However, even though I'm connected to the internet wireless via my router, it can't find any of the PSN names I give in. I have a list of 15 people I'm wanting to add but all the time my PS3 says it can't find the user ID. I'm connected to the internet and logged in to my own PSN.

Did anyone encounter the same error? I do have NAT3 when looking at my internet settings but this shouldn't deny me adding any friends.

Thanks in advance.

Ps. When trying to open up the PS Store I get error code: 80023110

Where do you live? I have some friends who are still having PSN problems after the last maintenance that don't live in NA/EU.

Also make sure you do have the latest firmware, "I think" isn't good enough :p Also try it wired if possible.

I live in Europe and I do have the latest version so that should not be a problem.

I've setup DMZ on my Belkin router but this doesn't seem to get me to NAT2...

This is the only screen I get from DMZ.

My static PS3 IP is: 192.168.2.105

My router IP is: 192.168.1.0

My subnet: 255.255.255.0

My DNS 1: 192.168.1.0

My DNS 2: 0.0.0.0

Hmm, I'm type 2 now but I still can't add any friends. My PS3 tells me "online-id not found" while I'm sure it's the correct id...

Sorry for the multiple posts but I just can't find anything. I'm on NAT type 2, everything is perfect but I can't add PSN friends. Could the reason be that I'm using a debug PS3?

This topic can be locked. When you have a PS3 debug you must change the following settings:

Debug settings > NP environment > "np" instead of "sp-int"
