lol at the comments on that site. I find it funny that people knock MS for not announcing a price for Kinect whereas the 3DS will likely release in the same launch window and it doesn't have a price yet, however no one seems to mind. Also at least MS had demos of Kinect that you can see from the couch and what not. I still haven't been able to see actual 3DS gameplay and I doubt any outside of the people who have played it have and already people are saying it's a guaranteed purchase.

a bunch of couch CEOs is what we are, I'll admit I am too lol. I can't really fault Microsoft for trying to make an effort to get the casual market cause they pretty much have the hardcore locked down. While Kinect probably won't be a sale for me and I won't pay $150 just to have a smoother video playing experience, it will be worth it for some people and some people will like it.

I really don't know how well it will sell for Microsoft. Alot of their hardcore customers have probably already made up their mind, but just like the Nintendo 3DS will need effective demos to sell it, the kinect will need the same thing to convince people that a game can only be done on the 360 and not any others.

I'll probably end up getting Metroid and DKC. I'm not sure about Zelda, the last one felt kinda dull to me so they have to convince me this time. One thing I wish greedy Nintendo would have announced is a damn players choice software lineup or something. It's a travesty that a game that came out in 07 or 08 is till sold $50 retail in the store now. Just on principle I refuse to buy any game older than $12months at it's original retail price.

Never say HardCore and Consoles in the same sentice. Nor say hardcore when refuring to consoles.. that dosn't excist ether

twitling your thumbs on 2 thumbsticks is not Hard and dose not lead to hardcore gaming ether.

on a side note u know what funny about kinect that is plugs into the system useing USB. Im going to bet that when the system gets released shortaly after some one well have writen a Drive for it to work on Windows/Linux and the funny story here is it will run and play better under windows/linux then on Xbox witch it was desinged for.

Explample. Wii Mote on Wii VS Wii mote on PC. Works way better on PC

as seen here

is it pratical and mainstream ..no not really. but can the Wii System do this.Nope not at all.

it be intresting to see what the kinect can do on a windows pc, Infact I proable pick up a kinect system for my windows 7 x64 and see why I can pipe out my self

The consoles are 4-5 years old now? The PC is constantly bringing out new tech that's not exactly a fair comparison.

PS. Please run your posts through a spell checker.

not fair ? its totaly fair. Its a proof of concept that Console hardware runs better on PC hardware then it dose for the hardware it was built for.

also a pc thats a few years older then lets say the wii could do this. the fact that consoles are closed systems and pcs are open system. Its shows that programing and scriping hardware to do what u want it to do is easyer and more impresive done on a pc with out the rescrition of the hardware its done on.

hmm thts my alianware I been posting all over the net.

its a

AMD Phenon ii 3.4ghz Quad

8GIG DDR2 800khz

ATi Radeon 5770 1GIG GDDR5 (Crossfired 3-way for full 3GiG of GDDR5)

5.1Ssound

2TB HDD

2 Blu-ray RW

(total 6 Sata 2 Inputs)

HD HDMI 26inch.

and I fined it quite clean consider how may power connectors and Sata 2 coards I need. tried to keep the mainboard free of cords and tryined to zapstrap ever thing else the the side of the case best I could.

Thats right next to my windows Home server servering up 4TB HDD space. and its almsot full :( tears

the way i understand it crossfire gives you 2 1gb buffers not a single 2 gb buffer (or 3 in your case) gta is probably a good game to see this in action as the graphics settings are based on vram. tbh your setup is a a bit ridiculous, you ought to have one of those wqhd monitors or eyefinity as you have 5770 trifire not a relativly small 26" which i guess is 1920x1200, even with with multimonitors theres going to be massive bottlenecks with many games on your system

i have what many would see as a OTT gaming pc as well but i dont hate on consoles, consoles are perfectly good for bringing gaming to the masses, you can get 3 xbox360's for the price of one component in my pc (the gpu) obviously the expense of maintaining a highend gaming pc is to much for most people

hmm you can tell or edit INI are .cfg files to point to use multicards to use 1GIG or all Memory avil between cards. no most software do not let u do this unless u know what your edtion and point to. Newer PC games on crossfire will not only alowe u to use the multi GPU but the Vram across all cards as well. its all comes down to Drivers and 3rd party programing to take avg of this. Also about GTA 4 I used over my Vram setting in game. Lets say 1.5gig ov Vram on a suupose 1GIG card.. Didn't crash on me?

although I payed a decent price to build my rig. pc user hardly every have the issuse of worrying about "lets say the randome red ring of death" or having to redownlaod every bit of software and going thur the DRM impossed on consoles. (unless a pc use has a HDD crash and the user has not made a Image of there pc) for me once the pc is build fixing or replacing parts is cheaper then replacing consoles and what not. and to be honest I not worried aobut a quad-core being outdated on preformance yet. And when I feel like it I know Im going to Im going to replace it with a x6 since my board supprts the AM3 x6 cores. I jsut wating for the x6 to hit 3.5/4.0GHz before I swap my cpu out.

also if you know were to shop like ebay keeping a gaming rig like this is acutally cheap. Just have to know were to shop for the best prices.

I would go EyeInfenty on 3x26inch HD Im sorta lacking on Deskspace for that though :( One day I replace this desk with a larger one to hold the sapce I require.

And uselly pc user do not have to repalce hardware untill the next OS realease and maybe not even then. Most software is degined for old OS like Xp/vista/7 were as if a new console comes out uselly they stop making software for the old ones. Forcing upgrades. The only time Im forced to full upgraded is when I decied the hardware is no loger worthy of todays standereds

also I dont mined bragging and ever one tell me my pc is more impressive then whats power the 360 or ps3

also I dont hate console ether. I own a PS3. but I hate when people refure to consoles as hardcore gaming... .HC gaming is were 16 People can sit at a lan Party for 18hours in one sitting. Useing a keyboard/Mouse in high tenes FPS CTF or massive SC/SC2 sitting. Maybe some long sessions on Civ. Console are grate for pick up 1-2 hour gaming then walk away from but not for Hardcore Gaming and or gamers.

what you say about upgrading is true to a point but to play the latest games maxed it helps to have the latest hardware, recently my core2quad has been showing its age and if you look at steams hardware surveys most people dont even have a quad core cpu yet, thats another £600 upgrade just because im an eyefinity gamer

on the other hand lets say some of the more lower and sometimes minual setting on a pc game looks way better then some of the games released on consoles. (assuming u dont chop the res down vs the native res of the screen max) and u can achive high FPS on pc then what consoles cap at.

yes its a tad insance to push 500-1000-FPS comapired to standered 60. can u notice the diffrence well that depends on peoples eyes. For me I can notice the diff from 60-180 roughly. To me my ps3 look like it lagging at 60FPS. I force minamal all my pc gaming at 120FPS just to keep it smooth looking.

if you display is 1920x1200 and not 1920x1080 it would probably look really good with 3 of them in portrait and not take up so much room, im going to change mine to portrait once i get a spyder3elite to get rid of the colorshift. 3x1 landscape is a bit wide really 3x2 or 3x3 would be ok i think

well I havn;t full decided on what I want to do for viewing. I more worryed about getting more space and possible repalcing my cpu before I get more monitors.

I thought E3 was very poor, I guess I'd hand this to Nintendo due to how much better their conference was this year over the absolutely awful last few years.

That said I have absolutely no interest in a 3DS, but showing off new hardware at E3 is always welcomed.

Lots of good games I want shown at E3, but not enough surprises or titles from the future shown.

Kinect looks absolutely awful, and PS Move looks like the technology we'd expect Nintendo to release in the next Wii. Due to the fact it can actually support hardcore games I'm more interested in Move, but I really just want a nice horizon of games to tide me over the next few years of this generation, not "game changing hardware".

I enjoyed Kevin Butler being on stage, and the unveiling of Twisted Metal (truck/clown/etc), but things like that only live on for a few days, then it really just comes down to what games were shown. Fancy stage presentations only excite in the heat of the moment.

Gamescom and TGS will probably excite me more than E3.

Just because everyone is doing it doesnt make it great in everyones eyes. Im glad the industry is trying come up with new things and hope they can grab a larger audience, but at the same time I hope the do not accidentally alienate a core audience in doing so.

3D Nintendogs, Dead or Alive, Splinter Cell, The Sims, Super Street Fighter IV, Metal Gear Solid, Golden sun, an updated Mario Kart, new Star Fox title and Paper Mario, all been done before at one time or another. Should I continue? And anything that isnt on the list probably wont sell near as well as this already name-brand titles. Nintendo has a severe lack of new Intellectual Properties and there is no denying that. Bottom line, they are still relying on an outdated formula for software. Sure it will sell well, but there is not anything on their list that will make me re-invest in Nintendo right now. Time will tell if they they can roll out other stuff that can capture a larger audience or get some of their older audience back.

Most "new" IPs are the same thing with a new skin. Nintendo is the one putting out new concepts with games like scriblenauts. The 360 and PS3 just give us FPS after FPS and the same old RPG concept we've all been use too. And portal was the last new thing on the PC imo.
