As you can expect from any Gran Turismo game, GT5 will be bigger and better than ever, including everything from 950+ cars to a new and improved online component with expansive community features and custom race lobbies. Before you head off to pre-order the game that every racing fan is going to be playing, you?ll need to decide which version you?re going to get: the standard edition or the limited Collector?s Edition. And if you?re a true Gran Turismo fan, of course you?ll want to pick up the Collector?s Edition.

Gran Turismo doesn?t cut corners, and neither does this Collector?s Edition. It?s packed full of must-have items that were picked and designed for true car lovers: an exclusive 1:43 scale diecast Nissan GT-R Spec V, an in-depth 300-page car guide, a GT-branded key chain, a voucher for five (5) DLC cars, and a numbered certificate of authenticity, all housed in stylish, premium packaging. And you get all that for $99.99 MSRP.

and for those who want to preorder:

The exciting pre-order program for Gran Turismo 5 offers exclusive and beautiful in-game cars as bonuses, including the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Nissan GT-R GT500, McLaren F1, and more. Each car features an exclusive and stylish Gran Turismo-themed ?stealth? livery custom-designed byPolyphony Digital, with select performance upgrades over the standard versions of the cars available in the game. Pre-orders offers will be coming soon at participating retailers for both the standard and Collector?s Edition versions.

Any hands-on gameplay videos yet??

I think G4TV just said that they'll have a hands on tomorrow (6/15/2010), I can't wait. I need to see the damage system, but I'm sold no matter what.

I only preordered the standard edition but will be enough for me :D I would of liked the collectors but the standard alone is quite expensive here in Oz and the collector edition will easily be close to AUD$200+ (with the standard alone is nudging over AUD$100) and I won't pay that much for a game. The game is looking epic. I'm sure all those Forza fans who were **** sure Forza 3 was the new king of racers and GT had past it, have gone bright green with envy about now

Anyone notice on the TopGear test track the driver in the car is the Stig? how epic is that! I just hope it actually releases this time and doesn't get delayed *again* because Sony wants Move support or a 4D version or something....

Jesus finally a proper release from sony. Buying this on the spot.

@AWBrian: Cut Turn 10 some slack, 3 games and the 3rd one was amazing imo. Sony have about 4 successful and 1 meh(gt5 prologue) releases so yeah they know what there doing, but finally a release date.

Might actually have to unpack my 60gb nd use it or steal brothers slim away from him for KZ3(**** 3d), Socom 4 and this game.

Night racing looks awesome, what's more impressive is 1080p 60fps THAT'S what Turn 10 need to aim for next.

Yay Stig even made an appearance in the trailer. The nice thing is they put the date in the trailer, would be hard to delay it now I guess.

Looking forward to pre-ordering.

Tuesday is not usually a game release date in the UK. But with all the piracy issues these days they do tend to have global release dates more often on big title.

Why ? We have yet to see any actual race graphics, and more importantly like Forza fans have said since the start, yes, graphics are nice. But in a sim racer, it's the game engine and simulation that's important. We have yet to see any indication that GT5 is close to FM3 in that regard, outside of pretty stuff like doors and bumpers falling off.

on the other hand, GT has never been about being a hardcore sim either, and if they make it that now, then they're just reacting to Forza and ignoring their long time core fans, which rather expect a light fun sim, not a hardcore racing sim.

It's gonna ba great game for sure, but I believe they'll stick to where they have always been, the lighter end of the sim scale, but this time with damage for less fishtailing and wall riding.

That is what i am also concerned about and i have mentioned it before.

What i want from GT5 is more realistic car handling and wider tracks since this is what i am jealous from Forza. If they have noticed these sections on GT5 as they have done with graphics i will buy it with out second thought.

If however they have the same unrealistic handling and overall gameplay and that narrow sense on the tracks then for me its just a GT4 with new cars and HD graphics. Especially on dirt tracks car handling and overall behavior was TOTALLY unrealistic (not hard, unrealistic)

Thay are working so many years on this, they must have improved things other than graphics.

Oh I do. I prefer Forza due to the realism of the physics, but I have always been a fan of GT. GT4, despite not getting online, was the best in it's time. I probably had hundreds of thousands of driven miles in that game.

Night racing looks awesome, what's more impressive is 1080p 60fps THAT'S what Turn 10 need to aim for next.

Turn 10 skipped on 1080p in order to get the physics done right. I am hoping that GT5 final has the physics to match the graphics. Hopefully Turn 10 can work on 1080p for Forza 4 as well.

Wow, so true, I have been looking for something to waste my money on, thanks guys!

In all seriousness the trailer looks awesome, and I will definitely be picking this up with a PS3 if there is a price drop (lets face it, the UK price is silly with the new 360 coming out with WiFi etc.)
