A Special Edition of Medal of Honor was announced today by executive producer Greg Goodrich during Sony?s E3 press conference. The game that effectively put the Medal of Honor franchise on the map,Medal of Honor: Frontline, has been totally remastered in HD with improved graphics, and will come bundled with EA?s upcoming Medal of Honor, the one that has its aim on removing the Modern Warfareseries of the throne. This Special Edition will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3.

?Medal of Honor has always been characterized by authenticity and reverence for the soldier. That sentiment has never been truer than it is today,? Goodrich says. ?Medal of Honor has had a long, dynamic history on PlayStation platforms. We are excited to continue that tradition today with this special edition of Medal of Honor that pays homage to the legacy of the franchise on this platform.?

They can make use of the extra space on the BD for a multiplat game. Assuming it's on the same disk. They are bring another PS2 game onto the PS3 (like God of War series).

Yea i was like F*CK YEA when I saw that. I loved Frontline but wishing it was Allied Assault though, even better.

I was a bit disappointed with this (and the Dead Space announcement for that matter) in regards to their exclusive "content". I was thinking along the lines of exclusive DLC, not a remastered old game bundled in with the special edition of the game.

I'd rather have a full-game than some kind of in-game suit or weapon.

The MP they showed yesterday looked just like Bad Company, which is good, but the SP looked outstanding, assuimg it was gameplay.

Oh definitely, but I would also prefer full on missions as extra DLC rather than a remastered old game.

Seeing the E3 footage of it, I was sold, this makes it even better :shiftyninja:

Really? I used to play MW 24/7 and loved it , but then MW2 came out and i shelfed that pretty soon.

I stopped playing MW2 due to the lack of recoil in MP and killstreak camping.

MOH has the exact same look as MW2 no recoil what so ever, that gives me the idea they made this game to cater the masses.

Meaning its probably noob friendly, with lots of annoying unrealistic stuff in it.

I really hope this isn't the case, but judging by the footage i saw it is.

I've never played MW or MW2. Last WWII or 'modern' warfare game I played was Rainbow Six and before that Counterstrike and Day of Defeat.

It's not bad. I have 260 hours online in MW2 and love every other minute of it, lol. There are 20 million sold already in less than a year, so I think the consensus is that the game is pretty good.

Campaign blows chunks though.

How well a game is selling doesn't say anything in this day and age, i just think they really over did it with the killstreaks. It takes the fun out of going out there and getting kills.

My friends list used to be filled with people playing COD. I used to have 18 friends playing MW at any given time, now you i see maybe 1 or two people playing MW2.

My main problem with MW2 is that nothing is being fixed.

But anyway i think i'm derailing this topic.

But yeah i really hoping this game is going to exceed my expectations.

I think it does. It just seems that not everyone has the same opinion as to what is a good game for them personally. It all comes down to a matter of opinion.

MW2 Stimulus Pack breaks PSN sales record ""Thanks to the 1 Million+ @playstation users who helped the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package break day 1 & week 1 download records on PSN!? he said."

$15 million dollars

Activision's $15 ?Stimulus Package? for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been purchased by over 2.5 million users on Xbox Live.

$37.5 million dollars

20 million copies sold of MW2

$1.2 billion dollars

Is it common for a crappy game to break records in DLC, and users to spend 52.5 million dollars in DLC on a game they don't like? And what about the the metacritic rating for a score of 94?

My link

I guess it's possible to generate the highest review scores, and the worlds largest revenue and game sales ever, with users voluntarily spending millions of dollars to buy more content for a crappy game. But it seems kinda odd if that were the case.

Not to mention, I liked it.

Well.. MW2 is AWESOME..

come on..

for its kind: fast-paced. Small maps .. its awesome..

comparing it to Bad Company wouldnt be right. Bad company is slower. And your player feels heavier and the maps are big ...

DJD is correct.

It's all down to your personal opinion, anyway. Modern Warfare 2 has sold over 10 million copies, but a lot of people (and quite a few fellow Neowin members, me included) consider it to be a fairly poor game. I feel the same about Grand Theft Auto IV as well. Whereas DJ Hero, for example, hasn't sold that much, but in my opinion, it's a brilliant game.
