vector logo

Question

Hello...

I need some help I received a logo from a company to engrave it on a BBQ set. I asked for a vector image and i received an EPS file which is partly vector art. I've been trying to figure out how to convert it completely into vector art, but I'm not having any luck doing this as I've never done it before. Could someone guide me on how to do this?

I appreciate any help!

Thank you!

I can't attach the file cuz its too big so if anyone needs to see it i can email it or whatever you prefer....thanks again

So you're wanting to go EPS --> SVG?

Go here. I found it in a google search but at a glance seems to do what you want.

- Select output format (SVG - plenty of other options if you prefer).

- Upload your file

well not exactly...basically i found out that the eps image i have is partly vector...and the other part is an embedded photoshop image which needs to be converted so that the file can be used to laser the logo...it's hard to explain without getting a visual of what im talkin about....so i'll attach a jpg image so you can get an idea....

the big V is not in the correct format....while the vintage park homes is...

does that make sense?

Yeah by the sounds of it you need it split back up; and then saved in the right format. Can you not use Illustrator to do so?

since it's for an engraving i'm assuming that you don't need the textures, in which case you can simply trace the bitmap into an outline.

btw what's the resolution of the bitmap? if it's large enough and the engraving is small enough, you might be able to get away with leaving it as is.

couldn't you upload it to http://www.megaupload.com/ or something?

Here you go: http://www.sendspace.com/file/69nagm

Since it's for engraving, I guess the texture/color isn't important, so I made it black. It's exported in CS2 .AI , .EPS and PDF format , I hope it's ok :)
