Lamp0
@MightyJordan: I think people are over blowing the situation in saying they are ruining the game industry. I mean who the hell is selling games for ?75? On Amazon Black Ops is set for under ?45, that's ?5 over the usual price, and I wouldn't surprised if it drops. MW2 was one of the cheapest new games I bought. DLC was overpriced, but again it hasn't ruined the game industry yet. I don't think you quite understand the reasons for our ire. I don't deny that MW2 was a decent enough game - the sales figues alone are testament to that. But, quite frankly, you are an idiot if you believe that ?12~ for recycled maps from previous games is an acceptable price point. Note that I am not saying that people that bought it are idiots (if you want to play it, fine by me) - but if you support those kind of prices for that kind of content, you really are part of the problem. You are getting taken advantage of, pure and simple. I agree, it's over priced, I didn't buy it. Of course there's always people buying over priced stuff. We'll have to see if it ruins the industry. MightyJordan
I mean who the hell is selling games for ?75? At the moment, no one, because if he actually did this, people would be demanding his head on a pike. A ?75 price tag is understandable for something like Guitar Hero, if it comes with the guitar; in fact, that retailed for ?70. But if people start charging ?75 for a bog-standard game with just a disc and an instruction manual in a regular case, there would be public outcry. Hell, there was a bit of an outcry before the 360 came out, as before this generation, games retailed at ?40, then all of a sudden, it was raised to ?50, for no reason whatsoever. ViperAFK
The pathetic thing is when things comes around, people will complain about it and then they will still pay for it anyway, further paving the way for the demise of the gaming industry. I hope I am wrong. I don't think you quite understand the reasons for our ire. I don't deny that MW2 was a decent enough game - the sales figues alone are testament to that. Darth Laidher
i didnt buy a 360 because i would of had to pay to play online, i didnt buy WoW because you have to pay to play, any game where i have to pay extra for a game i already bought i will not buy. plenty of people will though, lots of people are brand myopic so they will pay what ever the cost.
