Genevievejose
I am writing a book and I am looking for an epic sounding name for a video game store/lab, where the gamers tend to congregate (especially after school) and which sells the best in games, lets you play for a fee, will host your gaming party for a fee too and is the centre of all things cool and up-to-date in the town's gaming circles. Looking for a cool sounding name that fits a pawn-shop-like joint where you can hang and play games, buy, sell, trade, etc... Need someone who maybe knows a bit about gamer culture, and especially someone from the UK because that's where the book takes place. In my town we have 2. They're called the Hive, and Video Game Impound, which everybody calls 'The Impound.' My brother and I have come up with the Den, the Cave, the Nest, none of them sound that cool or really seem to fit. In fact, they sound dumb, which is why I need your help. I need something that brings to mind, like, a core reactor (or whatever it's called) or something, and kind of makes you think of, like, a laser light show or buzzing power generator with tons of volts of electricity, etc. But has the feeling of being dark as well, like a black room with coloured electricity buzzing around an energy core. Smigit
It's good but I'm getting a bit sick of it too. Some of my friends are a bit obsessed and TBH the venue is far far too small. The fish bowl like pic they have on the site is deceptive...the bars probably not much bigger than my living room. Fun place but I'd prefer to go somewhere I can breathe. Due to its size it can only take about 50 people and you get groups that sit there just playing games so the line can move incredibly slow if youre late also. Worth a visit but you have to get in early. edit: For scale look at the back wall in the pic on the front page. Those displays are probably around 34" if I had to guess and that'd be the longer wall in the bar. So it's not exactly big.
