[CSS] Issue making IE display to match or even look similar to Firefox

Question

Hi,

I am working on a site design and it involves two columns, with help I have managed to get them to both the same size. But My problem is I have been working on the site in Firefox, When I look at the site in Internet Explorer the navigation column is displayed below the content. Which is obviously not what I want.

I have tried reducing the sizes of the columns so they would fit next to each other with space to spare. And this latest attempt is using CSS tables.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Joe

Hi,

Your HTML document needs a Doctype and a Charset - that way web browsers should display things with a bit more consistency.

Right, I have had a look at the CSS I was using and it is because when deciding the column widths i forgot to include the padding width.

Thanks for your help anyway :)
