Peter Moore:

Going by what the Internet says, everyone in the entire world wants a new SSX game. So, what?s the deal?

Well, it?s tricky.

?SSX is a fabulous piece of intellectual property. You never say never, but there?s nothing to say right now,? EA Sports boss Peter Moore told Eurogamer.

Guess that?s curtains for the Criterion?s-developing-a-new-SSX rumor, then. Unless, of course, EA?s not talking just yet.

When asked about what form a new SSX might take, Moore hearkened back to the snowboarding genre pinnacle?s heyday: a little game called Tricky.

?Well, everybody talks about Tricky,? he said. ?I think we?d have to look at how you bring back SSX?s snowboarding mechanic and make it relevant.?

?It?s been a number of years, some people may not even have played an SSX game. You?ve got to look at the current marketplace and Shaun White coming back again.?

These days, it seems like Shaun ?I can?t believe he?s not Carrot Top? White is the ?current marketplace? as far as snowboarding?s concerned. We?d hate to think the snowboarding genre?s thawed to the point of nearly liquefying, but well, the evidence speaks for itself. We have to wonder: do people even want ?extreme? snowboarding games anymore? Or extreme games in general?

That, however, hasn?t stopped us from furiously wishing for a new SSX. Please, Peter! Get a snowboard tattooed on your arm! Come on, it?s the perfect game for Kinect and you know it. Pretty please with our total denial of SSX Blur?s existence on top?

Man, I have fond memories of playing Tricky and other games too. It was just recently I looked to see if it was on PSN, but no :(

A new SSX would rock.

I even thought about buying Shaun White...
