Huge Steam Sale going on RIGHT now.

Nah my friends have capable enough PCs to run L4D2. It's just that original games on a gamer's PC over here is quite a rare sight. Even the internet cafes here don't use original games. And 4 sessions in a cafe would cover the cost of getting L4D2 during the sale a few days back.

I don't game much either. I just started again after a 3 or 4-year hiatus, and decided to get The Orange Box when it went on sale lat the beginning of the month. I can't afford many games, which is why this Steam sale feels so good. I'm not going to buy a full-priced game again. I'll just wait for the sales.

Indeed, thank god for Steam :p (on another note, I just bought the King's Bounty pack so there goes my credit card :p ).

Scirwode

And it could have easily gone the other way. Boy do I hate hindsight.

You had nothing to lose if you waited though. Now you've spent more than you needed to.

Anyway, enjoy the game regardless.

If it was a daily deal, wasn't it bound to go back up to the original price after the day was over?

Yes.

But we've already covered other games being in the sale and then Valve reducing the prices even further for a Daily Deal. GTA4 Episodes was one of them.

Arma 2 price is good...

Meh @ Everything else. TF2 is good but I have it, GTA4 is a good price but I have it, and everyone should buy Super Street Fighter 4.

Bit rubbish to be honest, considering the expansion is out which everyone will be switching to. They should have gone sub-tenner.

The new daily deals are up now.

The only one that interests me is Mass Effect 2 which is reduced by 40% like it was last week. I won't be getting it though as I don't have the money, and have only just bought Mass Effect.

Red Faction: Guerrilla - $5.00

I'm buying! That game has the sickest destruction engine since Crysis :D

And I gotta admit, PC games are a lot cheaper than console :p I would only play shooters on PC though, since those are good with mouse + keyboard.

Got Flatout: Ultimate Carnage. Loved playing the first two games a few years back, and it's $2. Plenty of entertainment for that price!

Lame, they had a week in which they had a deal every day and then a week later they have this deal which all the games from the previous deals are cheaper, I know when theres a steam sale like this you wait to see if the games you want become part of the daily deals, but what was the point in having the last weeks deals if they knew about this massive save? why not merge it? annoyed that I bought a few games which are now cheaper

Haha Torchlight is now in the sale

Glad I held off, but the user comments here kind of put me off it.

Me too. It was reduced the other week for the EA sale, but I completely missed it. I think it most likely will be on a daily deal as Mass Effect 2 was reduced by 40% in the EA sale, and it's a daily deal today, reduced by the same amount.

I really enjoyed Torchlight, sure it can get a bit repetitive but i think its really good, I like the art style and the loot. Probably helps that i never played the Diablo's back in the day.

yeah neither did i

edit: turned down the graphics a bit and its run beautifully on my macbook. Looking like this will be a purchase for me. decent mac games are hard to find and when i do i have no problem supported mac developers.

just bought it, demo was cool. audio.. you should pick it up. You love dungeon crawlers (well i think with your obsession of demon souls) so for five bucks this is a steal

Be weary of buying the game off steam if you have an x64 version of windows, steam in their infinite wisdom decided not to include the x64 portion of the game, which really makes a difference. I had to go out an buy it again retail after getting it on steam :(

If you're not interested in running an x64 version or don't have an x64 version of windows then you're fine.

I wasnt aware of this, I bought it on Steam during their EA sale the other week. Havnt run into any problems with it so far though.
