Minifig
I guess you can't read. I also stated XBLA / PSN games....aka full games. Sony and Microsoft both offer full games you can buy, including FULL 360/PS3 games, that have the same DRM as DLC and can be revoked. You do realize that once you get a new user name, you still own the game that you bought and therefore can still play it and redownload the DLC.. Unlike here where if they pull the game off the shelf, you have no access to it .. ever again?
Ayepecks
Yes.. but you're missing the point.. You buy a game for a period of time, and they can take it away, WHENEVER THEY WANT. Like I said.. I will let you buy little big planet off of me, for 14.95$. Go ahead and keep it for a week. Now go ahead and play it for a day. Tomorrow I'm going to come by, without any warning and pick it up. You've just been ripped off 14.95$ How do you feel? Are you trying to be argumentative just for the sake of it? No, I'm not missing the point. I responded to his post because he didn't understand the service. I missed no point and made absolutely no statements about the issues you're bringing up, so don't put words in my mouth. I already said I would not buy the service, I never supported it, I simply stated that it works.

Ayepecks
He showed that you can view others playing games on the iPad but not actually playing? Controls aren't there yet, and the technology needs work. They did show a preview on another blog (they played Dragon Age and something else), but it looked almost unplayable because they were still working on the controls. Can't recall the blog... maybe Kotaku or Joystiq.
Unrealistic
You do realize that once you get a new user name, you still own the game that you bought and therefore can still play it and redownload the DLC.. Unlike here where if they pull the game off the shelf, you have no access to it .. ever again? You do realize if you're BANNED, you can't do that right? If Microsoft bans your gamertag, you're not entitled to re-download anything. You can make a new gamertag, and you can use the content on that particular 360 (unless they ban it), but if you buy a new 360, or that 360/hard drive dies on you, you can't get the content again. This is exactly the same for the Playstation Network. Also, Microsoft have pulled games off of their network and you can't download them again...well you can, but you have to go through your gamertag history and again if it gets banned, you can't ever get it back again. For as much as you argue, you don't know very much about other services.
WastedJoker
As much as I can agree the point about PSN/Live games being able to be taken away from us just the same as OnLive, the difference is that Sony/Microsoft are not some fly-by-night operator. Nobody knows onLive and their T's & C's are shady to say the least.

Again, you can reobtain anything as long as it's on the marketplace .. if you have a new gamertag. Trust me. I've had friends who have been banned unjustly by Microsoft and just created new gamertags, and downloaded the DLC again, AND used their old discs. Now on the other hand .. with onlive... if you buy a game.. (say.. Borderlands) and they decide to pull it off the marketplace.. There is no way how to get the title back. We go back to DLC ≠ full games of which you already own the disc.
SMELTN
Well I was looking forward to seeing how this worked. I was hoping it would work out, especially for people with crappy pc's or laptops, or now even iPads. It may get better, look at the iPhone 4 launch so far :p I wouldn't get on it just yet, but I am going to still keep my eye on this because I think it still has some potential. I believe what unrealistic meant was that if you are banned and get a new gamertag you can not redownload the already paid-for content for free (On a new drive/box). You will have to pay for it again under the new gamertag in order to download again.

sweetham
I consider that perfectly ok - that is simply a case of your own actions costing you. Yeah I can agree with it I suppose for that aspect. I hate licensing and DRM. If I buy something I like to be able to use it on any device that supports it (multiple xboxes and multiple gamertags as I own them), and want the ease of backing my data up in case of disk failure. But then again thats how licensing works and at least they give you the option for license transfers to new boxes, so that is a nice feature. And it is somewhat of a detterrent for hackers/modders, but not really. They seem to run rampant on xbl these days. As far as onlive goes, I would prefer hard copies over digital medium. They only way digital distribution will fully take on for me is DRM free content with the ability to back the data to personal disks. Music is one example of some of the better digital distribution thats evolved over the yearas. Using non DRM technologies such as MP3s and making it easy to back the files up and use it on any device that supports it. Amazon mp3, itunes now that they have lifted most of the DRM (still hate its in m4a format but at least its no mp4 anymore), etc. Not really sure what to think of the cloud-computing age yet. I do not really think most of the U.S. is ready for it. ISP speeds seem to be pretty lackluster unless you are in a relatively big city still. Would really like to see a big push towards infratructure upgrades throughout the U.S. with fiber to the home to most consumers.
Minifig
I consider that perfectly ok - that is simply a case of your own actions costing you. Exactly. As the reverse is true with OnLive. Your games are being taken away with no alert, recourse and your being punished even if you're a good player.

lalalawawawa
^ :x a. You appreciate games and therefore play them on your PC, mod them sometimes, feel like you really own them (not just the stupid licence to play them). b. You don't to the above. Just get a freaking console, ffs. Its much better than this ****.
deletedxyz
Whatever game service thinks that it's doing a fine job by costing you the full price of a game (with no discounts like Steam or Amazon) and then charge you additional fees to deliver the blurry content to you must be fooling itself. The idea is good on paper but the execution and pricing are awful.

Sethos
Was about to say, it's not that much better - Looks like a bump in resolution, that's it. Overall the picture is still very fuzzy and slightly blurry, major lack of details and sharpness. Even worse is your running windowed mode and it still manages to look so fuzzy, you'd think that would make it a bit more crisp to look at.
