Finally. FINALLY. Hulu comes to game consoles. Hulu's just-announced $9.99/month Hulu Plus service, available now on PC, iPhone, and other devices, will be visible on PlayStation 3 systems "soon." In addition, it'll launch on Xbox 360 sometime in early 2011.

Learn more about the new Hulu Plus service here. If you need us, we'll be gathering more information about this service, and also canceling our cable TV.

No cable shows no care

Just noticed that, according to the Hulu Plus page, the CBS and Viacom deals must have fell through. That really hurts, because it has very little content that's worth much now. Hulu Plus will likely be a failure.

Edit: I thought this was going to allow Hulu Plus AND the standard Hulu on the 360 and PS3. It's only for Hulu Plus. Lame. Thank goodness ESPN3 is free.

Should have announced it at E3. Not that it matters much if the content backers aren't supporting it / people outside the US.

You're right, ths thing sounds like s bust.

Hulu Plus coming to Xbox 360

We are happy to announce that Hulu will be coming to Xbox LIVE as part of their Hulu Plus experience. In the announcement today, Hulu announced a preview of their Plus service, along with a series of partners of which Xbox LIVE is one of them. We’re working hard on creating customized experience for Xbox LIVE members, which means that Hulu Plus will be coming to Xbox 360 in early 2011. We are taking the time to ensure that the Hulu Plus experience for Xbox 360 is the best on TV and like our other entertainment experiences it will not be a port, but rather a custom experience that leverages the Xbox LIVE community features.

Hulu Plus will be available for US Xbox LIVE Gold Members only.

More content. More devices. But that’s not all. We want to take full advantage of beautiful display devices like your HDTV connected to your Samsung Blu-ray player, or your iPad. So for all Hulu Plus subscribers, we’ll now stream all native HD content in 720p high definition.

Threads Merged.

NoLimit06, I know the info was from Major Nelson so was specific to just the 360, but it is pretty much the same news so just merged the two threads.

Bummer about needing PSN+ in order to use Hulu+. Now had Sony included this in their yearly PSN+ cost... that would have been an instant sale for me. I would be willing to pay much more for the PSN+ package if it included Netflix and Hulu.

But Hulu+ is $120/yr. PSN+ is $50/yr

There is no way that would have happened at the current price. They'd be losing so much money.
