Technologizer?s discovered that PlayStation Plus might be required for the recently announced Hulu Plus for PS3.

The source code from the Hulu site reads: ?The instructions below will help you install Hulu Plus on your PS3. Note: you must be a subscriber of the PlayStation Plus Network.?

The source code from the website also shows a ?PlayStation 3 Activation Procedure?, where users are asked to redeem a code onto the PlayStation Store to use the service.

Not to mention that when you put a year-long sub of PS Plus and how much Hulu costs per month together, it would come to $170 a year, as mentioned by Kotaku.

SCEA hasn?t formally revealed anything on how the service would work on PS3, nor has Hulu, but it did tell VG247 last night that details were coming ?shortly.?

Hulu Plus comes to PS3 next month, with a 2011 release for Xbox 360.

I'll take a stab in the dark and say it'll probably require you to be an XBL Gold member too for the 360.

Fail. Since Time Warner has onDemand even for primtime shows, I wouldn't get Hulu Plus anyway. I don't have that much free time on my hands I need to pay for TV that I already pay for.

that would be the same as xbox live gold required for it as well as netflix.

UPDATE - Reader Paul sends in the image below, activated by getting hold of a preview code for the service. It clearly includes the PSPlus-only statement.

As I said in my other thread, this is just the beginning.

I'm pretty sure the PSN is not going to have many new features, aside from aesthetics in the coming years and if you want the new features, most if not all of them will be PSN +.

I'm never going to pay for two online services for two consoles.

So, being a plus member only gives you access... you still gotta pay for Hulu huh. No thanks.

That and there is still ads too. It's pretty stupid imho, for anyone, regardless of their preferred system.
