Andre S. Veteran Posted June 30, 2010 Veteran Share Posted June 30, 2010 (edited) Sometimes I wonder whether the Zero Punctuation format hinders Croshaw's creativity or he's actually incapable of a more thoughtful analysis. Oh, so E3 was not entirely about new original storylines, gosh! What about all the awesome titles that were presented, ie Dead Space 2, Portal 2, not a word on that? "The 3DS is a gimmick because it's not a storyline yadayadayada". Ok Yahtzee we get it. Seriously he should critique another genre, like books, if all he ever cares for is original storylines. "Ugh, controllers!" Controllers do matter. "Ugh, sequels!" Sequels make some of the best games (Half-Life 2, Diablo 2, Age of Empires 2). It's just an extreme nitpicking opinion about something to get some laughs and page hits. If anyone takes his "reviews" for real, then that's the real funny thing I'd say. Andre S. Veteran Posted June 30, 2010 Veteran Share Posted June 30, 2010 (edited) It's just an extreme nitpicking opinion about something to get some laughs and page hits. But often the nitpicking is actually quite relevant (which is part of what makes it fun). And usually the nitpicking is completed by a rather accurate global impression. In this case, it appears to me he just missed the big picture. Well, if you agree with the "nitpicking"/minor bit's he overexagerates then fine, but w/e, I check it out from time to time for a few laughs even if I don't agree with the opinion, which is often the case.
