zhangm Supervisor Posted July 12, 2003 Supervisor Share Posted July 12, 2003 Heh, you got owned... Snoop around, check if there are any programs or plugins which will prevent someone from opening multiple windows and flooding you. I guess that's the only way. Hypoxiaicon
Thats happened to me before, but with only two boxes from the same person. But he wasn't trying to flood me. Its could a be a bot, (Yes Yahoo does them too) Do you have the newest version of Yahoo? Get Version 5.6.0.1341 Here

Hypoxiaicon
I'm not sure if its a bug and people are exploiting it. Byt my friend who i was talking to wasnt doing anything and it just happened, two windows from him popped up on my screen and he had no idea why. So... i guess its a problem in Yahoo Messenger... i'd contact them... i'd think its a bug in yahoo... Its only happened to me twice and my sister 2/3 times but it hasnt happend with the newest version as of yet

MxxCon
consider dumping "offical" client and try Trillian or Miranda IM. both support Yahoo IM..maybe not all features, but at least neither will crap on you like that
