Is there such a thing.. ?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I hope you can understand what i mean lol

Is there any application/software which can do this:

mp3search.JPG

have like a "address/run bar" kinda thing which sits on the desktop... where u enter a search string say *elvis* and a transparent.. or something like that appears (drop down box kinda thing) and lists the matches found.. then you click the match which is right and it plays the song in winamp or your selected mp3 player? lol make sense?

Like, in options you have the folders chosen where your mp3s are... and it searches them select folders for that search criteria.

I know there is a mirc addon called "NMP3" which does this, tho i was wondering is there anythin like this for windows? :)

Hope you understood what I meant haha

TIA - Levi :p

If you load litestep on top of your explorer shell, and just use the lsxcommands module you can do that.

This way is hard, there's not one page I can link you to, because LS development has gone to freck, but just google litestep and you'll get tons of pages. From that you can decide if the shell is worth your time.

As for the module here's a direct link. http://shellfront.org/modules/lsxcommand-1.8.4.zip it's real small and there's no online readme anymore. Just DL the file and read the read me before you get LS. If by the readme and DOC's you think it's worth a shot then you can get litestep.
