^ Cupcakes, that isn't what I'm looking for, Habari seems to be blog software...

Do you mean the image effect?

I meant the CMS, rails doesn't play nice on my dreamhost account for some reason...

Update:

Eh, I may have to go with using TYPO3 (overkill for the site I'm doing) or I may use FrogCMS/Wolf CMS... Time to do some testing...

Habari is just as much as a CMS as anything else. Not sure why people/you automatically refuse a recommendation of software based on the word "blogging" appearing somewhere. Don't diss it until you try it, that's my motto. Which is actually less overkill than TYPO3, so that's quite ironic you're quick to deduce to it "isn't what I'm looking for [...]."

Anyway, you can also try out:

Symphony CMS

Plone

Although your best bet would be FrogCMS as that is the closet to being a Radiant alternative and has been reviewed as being the PHP version of Radiant CMS. I have it set up with a client and he enjoys its simplicity as do I.

Actually I did give it a quick trial run, it definitely isn't what I'm looking for and it's more on the blogging side. TYPO3 is along the lines I'm looking for, so is Radiant, but TYPO3 isn't really that easy to use and Radiant Frog/Wolf CMS are lacking a few things I'm looking for.

What is Frog lacking that you are "looking for" then? I can only base recommendations on what you give and what you gave.. Frog fits that profile.

I know this is an old thread, but just in case anyone is still watching ... Frog CMS has definitely croaked, and is no longer under development. Wolf CMS (also mentioned above) is a fork, and directly continues the "Radiant" tradition in PHP (in fact, the Wolf dev team is in touch with the Radiant founder!). For anyone wanting "Radiant CMS" in a PHP environment, Wolf CMS is your obvious choice.

Hope that helps!
