SaltLife
I'm not sure why, but after a couple months my sixaxis (original with the PS3) crapped out and would no longer charge at ALL. I have to leave it plugged in to even use it. The odd part is, is that it doesn't even blink or show it's charging once it's plugged in. I suppose the battery is dead, I may open it up now that I have alternate controllers. Anyway, I have never had any issues with charging on my newer DS3 remotes, in-fact I'm not certain, but I feel as if I get better battery performance from watching movies compared to playing games. I'm not sure if the PS uses a different protocol or communication method (perhaps it's because I'm constantly transmitting a signal when I press a button in game). Either way, it'll last days on end without recharging if I only watch movies (netflix). EDIT: I'd like to add, that I do not have cable/tv services. So my PS3 is our media center as it's connected to my mac for streaming our backup DVD's and used for Netflix. That being said, it's on almost all day long as there is somebody in the house watching something (house of 5 if not more people at a time)
Piggy
I still have my sixaxis controllers and they seem to have reasonable battery life overall.
ramsy66
Wouldn't be surprised if this guy runs composite through his HDTV oh no my brother does that. has all the component cables for his 360 and a HDTV but still uses composite.
