If by 'weird' you mean 'somewhat unappealing', I could point out some places you might want to look at:

  • The dotted border for the first post is obscured by the colours, I suggest a change in the border-color
  • Your menu looks like an attempted tab menu, if so, try to cut it down a bit to keep all the items on one line.
  • The font in the header looks out of place.
  • Your header graphic seems slightly blurry, I would suggest a higher resolution photo.

Other than that, your website looks great. I do hope my comments helped. :)

Hey, thanks for the comment!

- Border colour has been changed slightly

- Tab menu has been condensed a bit and moved up

- What font should it be and where should it be positioned? :)

- I'll see if I can fix the header

Hmm, that was strange, for some reason, my browser was giving me a Courier look-alike... I see that your first choice for a font is Calibri, I would not recommend that because it's not a web safe font. It's generally good practice to use web safe fonts so that your website is consistent throughout all OSes. My suggestion is just to remove the Calibri and start your stack with Verdana.

I changed themes, so I just ended up adding the text to the image because doing it with CSS was a little messy.

Personally, I would make the menu stand out some more, maybe by changing the color, or by putting it under the header-image.

Themes are around the thousands everywhere.

I could suggest some things:

- Make a better photo (sharper) and add better-looking text for the main image.

- Change the width of the top of the page so it matches the rest of the content.

If you know how and don't want to change the theme, try to make better use of the right side of the post titles.

Also, you could think about making the page narrower to see if that makes it look better.
