linuxman111
I have a question maybe someone can answer. I recently bought a device (can't remember the name, I'm at work) that gives me the ability to hook my xbox to my pc's 17 inch SUN monitor, and switch between that and my pc. Pretty nice thing too, lets you pick between 800 X 600 and 1024 X 768. But at both resolutions, I find it a little pixelated and not as sharp, I'm guessing because I am not sitting 10 or 15 feet away. If I buy the HiDef kit, will this make it more like how I believe it should look? Thanks.
.....
Xbox VGA is the only vga adapter worth buying for the xbox. Xbox games run at 640x480 natively (unless they're high def. games) which is why you'll be getting a pixellated image. I believe this is the only adapter designed specifically for the xbox that supports hdtv resolutions. It's a little pricy, and they can sometimes take a while to arrive as the guy makes them himself, but it's worth it from what I hear. He also uses the casing from the MS HDTV pack which is a nice touch.

oojaxxoo
i don't think any vga box for xbox, ps2, or the cube will ever match the dreamcast's since the dc designed games to specifically work with a vga box. i sometimes run my xbox through my all-in-wonder 9700pro, and though it looks decent, it's nowhere as sharp and clear as the dc's vga box output.
