Pupik
lolwut Looks like the theme/some extension isn't compatible with the Firefox version.
ViperAFK
The tab animations kinda suck compared to opera and chrome. There is no animation for closing tabs and its not very smooth.
+jamwheat Subscriber² Posted July 7, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted July 7, 2010 Using the "Add-on Compatibility Reporter" add-on it, seems these add-on's work fine @jamwheat you're doing it wrong I read a reply off thehotfix.net that it could be from using the same profile. Oh well, it could be from the skin I was using also. I'll play with it some more.
Xypro
A great realease from mozilla good for them, but it could use a faster start up = better scripting, but then again the cache kicks in and its all fast once you use it frequently like I do it takes 2 sec tops
what
Looks like the theme/some extension isn't compatible with the Firefox version. Yeah, it was. I assumed that since it disables extensions it would disable the themes as well.

FiB3R
Looking good but I think I'll wait for beta 2 before trying it out. Jump in now. It's stable, handles silly amounts of tabs better than 3.6.6, and most of my add-ons work.

Bhav
This might have been answered but I can't wade through 8 pages of replies! Can I install this alongside 3.6? I don't want to uninstall 3.6 in case I face any incompatibilities with addons/websites...
AJC.
It's a great browser but the 3 things that I don't like about it are: -Right clicking to open a page in a new tab it has "Open in new window" above it. -Tabs create seperate processes in your taskbar -Message boxes don't light up like in Chrome, Opera or Safari. Which would be nice if they did. Yes I have submitted each of these in the feedback. It is much faster now though! :p

Obviously they use different install directories but I think they use a common folder / location for the addons etc. I'm sure there's probably a way around that though. You can run Firefox with -profilemanager and specify the folder for it, upon the creation of a new profile just for the beta.
arrrgh
This beta also has relatively well working implementation of WebGL. Pull up about:config, change webgl.enabled_for_all_sites to true and restart Firefox. http://khronos.org/webgl/wiki/Getting_a_WebGL_Implementation Demos: http://www.ambiera.com/copperlicht/demos.html http://www.iquilezles.org/apps/shadertoy/ http://people.mozilla.com/~vladimir/webgl/spore/sporeview.html http://wakaba.c3.cx/w/puls.html
