excessdl
I have an XP pro system at home and an XP pro vaio laptop.. problem is, i have network settings for when i go to work to dock the vaio in there and get on the network.. when i get home, i have network settings that need applied to get network/internet access from the main computer.. so settings must be changed EVERY TIME i go to one of the places to get specific access.. is there a way to keep both sets of settings so i can just go to work and plug into the network, then come home and plug into the network without changing around all my settings??? any help is appreciated! ~w
JodyWatts
If the settings you are referring to are the TCP/IP settings, there might be some help for you : 1. Go to the properties of your network connection. 2. Choose the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). 3. Click Properties. 4. Enter the settings for one network there (on the General tab). 5. Choose the ALTERNATE CONFIGURATION tab and set the settings for the other network there. Hope this helps!
