You mean that all the people who have caused trouble in the the past will have to wait to get rep points.

Remember, warning levels go down automatically for non-rulebreaking behavior.

Well like a previous poster said, The trouble makers will get a warning level quick anyway. To Be honest I don't think my warning level was warranted, Not naming any names but crying about something is ugh never mind. I got it for something trivial lets just say that. And now i gotta wait, what is it 6 months? or something like that for it to go down.

So all the people with warning level's before this system came in place wont be able to get rep points.. That sucks.

Where did my post say that? Warning levels drop after 6 months anyway, and maintaining a 0 warning level is just ONE of the suggestions we're throwing around. There will be many ways in which members can earn rep points.

6 months... thats a long time lol. How did you guys come up with that length anyway.

It should be a permanent thing IMO. Trolls know after a certain amount of time they get a troll point back and usually use it ASAP.

5 years later I have zero. Its really not that hard.

I havent studied how the warning system here works, but isnt there automatic account suspension, removal of post privileges/moderator queue, account ban if your warning level gets to a certain point? if so ,there is alot to lose, and i think that system works best against trolls.

The way it is now, nothing happens unless you get to a 100%. Take my word for it.

Permanent would be stupid. I have 1 warning and I doubt anyone considers me a troll or a troublemaker.

Reducing the amount of warnings you get before you are banned or suspended would work better.

It's not automatic, it'd done manually by moderators in addition to the warn, at their discretion.

This is not true at all. Maybe in rare occasions, but by the time most members reach 100%, they have received numerous restrictions / posting suspensions.

No way. When I get a warning because someone is crying over a crying baby picture then thats b.s. How many times have people posted a crying baby in these forums and got in trouble for it, probably not many.People getting butt hurt over little things shouldn't warrant a warning.Trivial b.s shouldn't get a warning.I like to have a warning level that is justified. If I knew was gonna get a warning i would of gavem something that would of warranted a warning. ;)

If you have an issue with a moderation action taken against you, please take it up with the moderator in question, or a supervisor. Public discussion of moderation is not permitted.

Sorry, its just that its to easy to get a warning.

I'm not a fan of automatic bans at all, the way its done here is better. The staff knows better than some automatic system. The steam forums for example bans plenty of people that don't really deserve it (while actual trolls roam free or get temp bans) because their warnings last a long time, and you can't get very many.

Some people find it rude and/or "trolling" when you reply back with an obvious meme image retort. If you don't have anything to contribute to it, the best approach is to just avoid posting in it. That being said, you should read over the italicized part of your own post again; Taking your own advice is the best advice :).

It's also easy to follow the rules and not get one, the majority of members manage to do that without a problem.

To me a warning is a serious thing. Each level is a step closer to being banned. It just sucks the mods bend the rules for some and not all.
