Ever since I put the Xbox in the bedroom, I've had more access to play games than I did a few months ago. Unfortunately, that means less time playing the PS3, but since the girlfriend and the roommate watch netflix and blu rays on the ps3, I guess it's a win-win.

I'm 23, my partner is 23, we play games a fair bit. Its usually on a off. We get in the habit of playing games, then after we finish the game we watch movies or tv series for a bit, then when another game comes around we get back into gaming.

its great, been together for 5 years, and I can see many years to come :)

In my 2 year relatioship i almost completely did not play (except for maybe two or three games). I didnt have a need to.

So just prioritize whats more important to you :)

Male: 34 yrs old. Married with 2 kids and I play games all the time. Used to be semi-pro and Operations Manager for "the online competitive league"

Still play games a TON, but not near what I used too. My wife puts up with it though, and she doesn't mind "most" of the time.

so no one wants to say if being in your 30 is too old to play video games or not

I don't think it's too old. Everybody needs a source of relaxation, distraction, something fun, challenging, and in some cases violent to get out frustration or a little mindless to help one chill out. Personally, I hope I always have time for them, no matter how old I get.

Anyone who says that is full of it. I'm 36, missus is 32, kids are 12-10-3, and all of us have game systems. My kids have a PC, DS's, Gamecube and PS2, the missus has her laptop, I have the desktop and PSP, and me and the missus have the PS3 in our bedroom. Even the 3 year old has his Leapster system, and plays some of the Gamecube games. If you go out of your way to find the right games, gaming can be something that brings the family together rather than something to try and find time away from the family for. We have our times we play party games as a family, and times we all go our separate ways on systems. It really does help to have enough systems to go around though.

I used to play a lot but now with work and trying to make games in my spare time I barely have time to actually play games :(

I still love playing them but I like long games that you need to invest lots of time in them (jap RPGs)

I am 40 and my GF/Soon to be wife is 35 she has no interest in gaming at all. But I have my pc down stairs so we can still chat and what not. That is probably the biggest tip I can give if you have room put your gaming rig in the main living room then at least you can still remain social with your spouse.

If they say you are too old, they need to GTFO out now.

im 27 and live w/ my girlfriend. between her, work, other hobbies, chores, etc... i dont have much time for gaming anymore.

during our free time (like week nights after work and dinner,) we usually watch tv or a movie. other nights i'll simply tell her that i want to play a game. she'll go off and do whatever. sometimes though, i'll get the rare chance to have an entire saturday or sunday night to have nothing but video games. it's awesome, but rarely happens.

Hey CUBBY, YOU'RE NOT TOO OLD FOR GAMES. ok? there's no such thing. they will put me in the ground with a controller in my cold dead hand. happy now?

i've been gaming since 1979 so you can count on me being in the second half of my 30's, the first game played was Combat i believe, and the second it loaded, the second i played it with my sister i think, there was a voice in my head that i didn't even recognize back then that said "this is home, son." been gaming ever since.

tried the family route, was an abject failure at it. now the only hurdle is full time work!

Im 26 and work 9-5, 5 days a week including weekends. been with my lady 3yrs now and I play most nights 7-8pm onwards. Tho now days mix it up with more things such as reading, watchin telly or working on my car.

My ladys an internet freak tho, well more Facebook. But she normally occupys herself with that or watchin telly with me. Days off we either agree on a day in or a day out but I make sure I spend them with her :)

Never too old for gaming... I just can't stay up playing an entire night like I used to when I was a kid. (Ok, when I was a kid, my choices were permanent eye damage playing Infocom games all night, or deformed claws for hands because of a 2600's joystick, but still..) Throw in the fact that I do work from home, have a kid to take care of, plus the upkeep of the house, my gaming time is nowhere near what it used to be... but I can still game with the best of them.

Say what? lol Dude, I'm 45 and I game like...well like I always have. too old? People my age grew up on the first gen consoles and I don't mean the original Nintendo ;) Later as my love for computer based gaming grew as opposed to console gaming, I moved onto a Commodore 64 and probably had 10 of those over the years and would game on them always. Later, the Sega Genesis, and currently up to PS3, a 360, AND a Wii :D

Now I mix it up with a fair bit of smackdown on my newish Alienware M11x - docked of course with my G15/G5 and 22" wide Samsung. Current favs? ME2, AC2, EQ2, WoW (perenolde), little SWG now and then (sniff miss muh ol' swg)...on and on

When you 'kids' get 'old' like me and are still gaming and going to rock concerts...you'll see age really has nothing to do with any of this.
