Gamers over certain age

Recommended Posts

Well I am 40 gonna be 41 soon and I game when I can. Yeah it is not every night like when I was younger. Grew up in the arcades playing Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Defender, Space Invaders the works and yes even pong. Now when I can I play my consoles and my computer games when I can. Love all the new computer games and even love the old school ones. All I have to say is thank you Mame... Also can't wait for the new Starcraft to come out soon. Used to play Starcraft - Quake - Total Annihilation etc at a place I worked long ago. Beer and pizza after 5 and was there usually till midnight or later. Ah those were the days....

Luckily the wife knows I am a gamer at heart and when I have no honey do list that is longer than my arm she lets me play when I can. Sometimes she will play as well, gotta love it! Yeah gaming was and still is a lifestyle but I believe it is the persons life ahead of him that changes, nothing can ever take away the gamer....

I'll be 30 in November, had same girlfriend for about 6 years, live together. I was thinking the same thing the other day, "When will I get bored of computers / gaming".......

Well, it certainly helps when Big Brother is on. She's happy to get rid of me so she can watch her crap on TV.

In my "spare" time from the girlfriend, I tend to watch films more than game recently. I don't like online or multiplayer and there haven't too many top single players out this year. RDR on 360 was pretty good.

I've actually resorted to replaying Rainbow Six 3 on the PC. I also like to play MoH:AA. Just glad they still run on Windows 7.

But anyway, as long as I don't get arthritis, I'll game.

27 and been gaming for the better part of 15 years. My wife and I play wow together and occasionally I get together with friends for a LAN party, would love to get a console to for the living room cause during the summer there isn't much to watch on tv.

very good posts here - good to know lots of mature people are around, and even moms that play quake! that's awesome.

I'm only 23, so I don't count. I live with a 31 year old who probably games more now than when he was my age. My mother in law (to be) is around 60 ish and games.

Full time jobs and side projects get in the way, but there's no kids in our house yet. If/when they come along we'll get them hooked when they're nice and young.

so no one wants to say if being in your 30 is too old to play video games or not

You're never too old!

Im 29 (30@ xmas) and I'm married with 2 kids and a full time job - After work and the dinner I play, OFC I get ear ache over it at times but she would be far more annoyed if I watched what I wanted to on the TV and she couldn't watch her programs lol.

For awhile, it drove me crazy that my wife watched crap TV, but then I realized to use it to my advantage, just as you said. Last night was all her crap TV, so I let her use the downstairs TV and went upstairs and gamed on the PC.

I got my girlfriend hooked on playing Guild Wars so I could play games some more, sadly she doesn't play it any more so now I only get to play when she is out of the house, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and some sundays :D

I can't complain

31, hardly watch TV. Can watch it all from the PC anyway. I normally sit at my desk in the evening watching films or gaming. Guess it will change soon when my baby is born in September.
