smiff
I went to turn my PS3 on last night, by pressing the psn (?) button on the controller and got nothing. The controller didn't turn on, and neither did the console. I assume the battery must be completely flat, as I remember it flashing a bit last time I used it. Plugged the controller into the usb and into the ps3 - nothing. Plugged it into a usb wall adapter - again nothing. I wouldn't be particularly bothered, but its my only controller and my ps3 is just a useless box without it. any ideas?
DPyro
I'm gonna assume you turned the PS3 on before you plugged it into the USB and pressed the reset button?
Solid Knight
I had this same problem. It turned out the battery had just completely died and dust built up in the usb port which prevented it from charging. Try blowing out the USB port then hooking it up to your PS3 via the USB cable. Shea J
maybe you shouldnt be charging your controller with usb wall adapters. use the usb cable that came with it and charge it with your computer.if that doesnt work its most likely dead.
smiff
maybe you shouldnt be charging your controller with usb wall adapters. I haven't before though, so its not like that caused it. Yep, the PS3 was turned on when it was hooked up to that via the cable. might just get a remote, as all I use it for is blu-rays & iPlayer... Kimleng
Have you tried resetting the actual controller itself by pressing the pinhole in the back of the controller? Most people are unaware that this little hole even exists. It solves many controller problems. Look at the back of your controller and right above the sticker and to the right of the screw in the center at the top, there is a tiny button that you can use a pen or paperclip to press on. Give it a shot if you haven't already. It should reset the controller itself.
