Reloaded on DVD Cover and Features

Recommended Posts

its not pointless. think of the ppl who only have a small TV to watch it on, u lose half of the picture. i like the dvd's that offer wdescreen and full. my portable dvd player is widescreen and the 4 tv's in my house are not. a 36in, 27in, 24in, and a 12in.

THe only way I will buy it is if waht i think i saw in the picture is true. Iyt is a real dvd case. NOt one of those piece of garbage ones like the original Matrix. I have three requirements to buy a DVD, the movies MUST be Amazing beyond all Standards, It must be in widescreen, and it must come in a real DVD case not one of those half ass WB, New Line garbadge cases, teh ones that have no real support on the front cover and to close them you 'buckle' them closed, very dissapointing.

the only bad thing about the 1rst matrix dvd was that the quality of the image was diferent then the cinema one; in the cinema the image was ok, in the dvd the image had a yeallow tone....i watched diferent dvd's, and it's the same problem...crap

A friend gave me a rental type dvd/movie magazine last night... and on the inside cover was this two page spread showing the impending release of Matrix Reloaded on DVD... looked really neat.

i took a handy dandy quick photo of the 2 pages, I have attached the image to this post...

The attachment is around 249k, so be warned...

Do you see the dvd disc cutouts being "blank"... looks kinda wierd... :)

WB rarely (if ever) releases DTS

Twister was from the WB camp, and it had one of the highest bitrates I've ever seen over 1000kb/s if I remember correctly. Louder than heck, but you're right that's the only WB DTS disc I have it seems as though Dreamworks,Fox, and Universal are more DTS friendly.

And then we have the cardboard packaging(or snappers as they're called) arguement yes they blow big chunks they don't have the shiny glossy look the normal plastic packaging has, but two things I like about it are:

1. When you pick off the GD security stickers you won't poke holes in the clear covers with your fingers and they are ten times easier to get off.

2. You can stack them on top of each other without the fear of the clear plastic on the other packages bunching up my JP III package looks like it has veins on the front and back.

The only bad thing is yes the cardboard is more flimpsy than the plastic, and the disc holders don't do a very good job holding the disc while it's easier to get the disc out it makes a person who spent money for this dvd a bit uncomfortable.

It doesn't look like that the DVD willl have DTS, only DD 5.1. I believe that they are saving the DTS for the "bumper" pack with all three movies and possibly the Animatrix. It should be released in March 2004, it is not that long a wait.
