it wasn't the acting, or the way it was done, but the way it was written, a different take on a classic story.

kinda like the book of nod basing vampires on the bible

saying that caine was vampire zero

once bitten was pretty good, funny not really action.

interview with a vampire is awsome, some action (sort of) great acting & story.

Blade I loved, didn't care too much for Blade 2 tho.

Fright Night is a classic but not really action.

I'm waiting for Underworld. Looks interesting. Basicly its vampires against warewolves, but looks fairly good. Looks like a lot of action.

I watched Kolchak when it was new and I ALWAYS had a hard time getting sleep afterwards...still do. It was a crime that ABC cancelled it.

The Blaculas are really pretty good. (Y)

I remember blackula but being funny, it wasn't serious was it?

Saloms lot is defiantely pure creepy, although I'm waiting for the sequel = "Sabrinas car park" ;)

as is Nosferatu i think. although not seen Shadow of the Vampire is it a sequel?

off topic: seeing as we are talking creepy, Twin Peaks creeped me out everytime Bob appeared. lol

what was Saturday the 14th?? it rings a really big bell but apart from being the day after Friday the 13th i can't put my finger on it.

BTW isn't the hunger a Zombie film????

Blacula was serious, scary, and funny. It's a pretty good movie. (Y)

Shadow is NEAT! It's "what if the makers of Nosferatu really used a vampire in the title role?" and it uses footage from the original movie - which is edited in seamlessly. Willem Dafoe is excellent as the monster. Cary Elwes is adorable.

Saturday the 14th is a spoof on the Friday the 13th movies. Now that I thnk about it, maybe it doesn't have vampires...DANG...now I'm not so sure! My bad...

The Hunger is a vampire film. Catherine Deneuve and her companion David Bowie are vampires who meet a scientist played by Susan Sarandon. Deneuve keeps her previous lovers in coffins up in the attic (they wear out but don't die). It's a cool movie with a kick ass opening scene in a disco and Bauhaus playing Bela Lugosi's Dead. If ya haven't heard Bela, find the long version (mine is on a Bauhaus cd5 from the mid 80s) and play it REALLY LOUD.
